Quahog Bay Inn is family owned and run.
The property along the shore of the Quahog Bay has been in Jane Waddle’s family for generations. Jane has grown up in Harpswell is very familiar with all the the town and the area has to offer.
Years ago there were two camp sites on the property. Those were eventually redeveloped into apartment buildings that were typically rented out to people that worked at the Brunswick Naval Air Station base that had been located at Cooks Corner in Brunswick for many years. When the base was closed, the apartments were remodeled and updated into the current bed and breakfast inn in 2009/2010.
Jane’s husband, John Powers is a lobsterman by trade, but helps with the upkeep and maintenance of the inn during the season. You will see him around when he is not out on the water.
Jane’s two children, Hallie and Matt are both in college, but are frequently home during the summer, helping at the inn and enjoying the activities on the bay.
